King's College International School, Wuxi is located in the southern part of Wuxi close to Taihu Lake. Our school’s first-class facilities provide the ideal environment for quality teaching, learning and growing to take place. Pupils are supported by caring and talented staff and a rigorous pastoral care system for day students and boarders that makes sure every child is known and cared for and that parents play a full and proper role alongside us in nurturing the growth of their children.
At KCIS we believe in a transformative world class education based on an engaging and empowering curriculum which cultivates wisdom and helps everyone in our community to flourish. All of life is about learning and school life should complement all that children do as they live, grow and develop into adolescence. We are committed to underpinning this experience with an understanding of and commitment to the culture, traditions and future of China with a thoroughly modern and appropriate global perspective. This rich learning and growing experience include access to an exceptional range of opportunities in sport, drama, music, outdoor pursuits, school exchanges and community service.
I would like to offer you a very warm welcome to King’s College International School, Wuxi. My name is Mike Hindle and I am extremely proud and privileged to be the Head of our wonderful school.
I have moved to China from Doha, Qatar and previously from the UK, where I have over 25 years’ experience of teaching and school leadership in a wide variety of settings. I have provided educational consultancy, school improvement advice, training and CPD to schools world-wide.
Here at KCIS we teach our students through the highly respected British Curriculum, providing a solid basis to allow your child to continue their education anywhere in the world once they leave us. We place our students at the heart of everything we do. We aim not only to prepare our children for adult life in an ever-changing world, but to ensure that their childhood is as wonderful as it can possibly be. My belief is that our children get only one chance at childhood, and as educators (and parents) we have a clear opportunity and responsibility to make that time a happy, safe and wondrous journey of discovery and learning.
